ABOUT ME
Dr. John McManus
As a psychologist, I was first introduced to Neurofeedback by some of my clients who brought me literature about Neurofeedback and asked my opinion of it. After doing some research, I went on to train as a Neurofeedback practitioner. One of the best learning experiences I had was actually studying with one of the founders of Neurofeedback, Dr. Barry Sterman.
I suffered from anxiety which did respond to anti-anxiety medications. The problem was I didn't like the fact that I was dependent on a medication that could be addicting. After doing a brain map, I identified the areas of my brain that needed training. I was then able to train myself with Neurofeedback and fix the part of my brain that needed medication. For the past three years I have not taken any medication for anxiety.
I have really enjoyed offering Neurofeedback to hundreds of clients, and seeing their success with the training. I am convinced that Neurofeedback has made a huge difference in the lives of many of my clients as it has in mine. I hope you will also look into how Neurofeedback will help you or your loved one.
In my free time, I enjoy playing golf, swimming, taking my dog, Teddy, for a walk and volunteering with Volunteers of America.
